Samsung Announces Important Update for 6 Phones
Samsung has released one of its biggest updates yet for its Galaxy devices. The South Korean company seems to have decided to start the new year on the right foot by putting an end to more than 70 failures in the Galaxy phones on the market.
Logically, these are minor flaws and not critical errors that prevent the device from functioning properly. But clearly, 70 cases of failure are no joke for Samsung and that’s why the company wanted to put an end to this situation once and for all.
Let’s take a closer look at the issue and the affected phones.
Samsung Releases a Critical and Important Update for 6 Phones
Your Galaxy phone will now have fewer failures with the new Samsung update, and the fixed software version that addresses these issues depends on the device.
For example, for the Galaxy S23, the fixed software is S91xBXXS3BWL3, while the Galaxy S22 receives version S90xBXXS7DWL3 and the Galaxy S21 phone gets version G99xBXXS9FWL9.
And not only these three family devices will receive this update that aims to put an end, once and for all, to the issues, here is a complete list of all the phones:
- Galaxy Z Flip 5
- Galaxy Z Fold 5
- Galaxy Z Flip 4
- Galaxy Z Fold 4
- Galaxy A52 (5G)
- Galaxy Note 20
Among the different issues that have been fixed with this new Samsung update is the resolution of critical problems. In fact, this may be one of the reasons that prompted the South Korean company to release such a major update.
It has also put a stop to compatibility issues with Samsung DeX for many users and has allowed everyone to see general device notifications without respecting personal files. Of course, there is a clear absence in this update, and this is the feature that prevents screen burn-in.
Samsung removed this feature in the last update with a promise that it would be available again in January, but it seems that not all devices have received it back. It will be a matter of time before it becomes clear whether this is the case or not.
When it comes to checking if the update is available for your device, all you have to do is go to the Updates section in the settings. Upon checking this section, you should receive a pending update, and it will likely be this update.
